Volunteer News
Attention Volunteers 55 and over!!!

If you are 55 and older and volunteer for the Alzheimer’s Association, you are eligible to be a part of RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program). RSVP is a federally funded program that encourages senior volunteerism, regardless of financial resources. This program is available throughout the state and reimburses volunteers for some travel and food expenses while volunteering. It also provides supplemental insurance while you are “on duty”.

You must sign up for the program and keep track of your monthly mileage. Each quarter you can receive a reimbursement check from RSVP to assist with some of the expenses involved in volunteering. We encourage everyone who is eligible to become part of this program.

Even if you would rather not receive a financial reimbursement, RSVP is a way to stand up and be counted as a volunteer.
