Fact Sheets

The Desert Southwest Chapter provides a variety of fact sheets, covering many issues that affect those with Alzheimer's disease. We have grouped our fact sheets into six areas to make it easier for you to find the information you want. You can click on any icon below to see the fact sheets in that area.

All of our fact sheets are in Adobe PDF format. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your machine to be able to view and print them. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader, you may download and install it for free from the Adobe Website.

	General Fact sheets that deal with general information and topics. Topics include information about the chapter and our services, communicating with the family, and care issues, such as vacationing and holidays.
	Behavior Issues Fact sheets that provide information on behavior issues. Topics include bathing, dressing, feelings and wandering.
	Related Dementias Fact sheets that provide information on Alzheimer's disease and other related dementias.
	Drugs and Therapies Fact sheets that provide information on drugs and drug therapies. Topics include Beta-Amyloid, Memantine, Netrofin and Vitamin E.
	Medicare and Related Issues Fact sheets that provide information on Medicare and related issues. Topics include and overview of Medicare benefits, drug plans, and your options if Medicare refuses to pay.
	Safety and Safe Return Fact sheets that provide information on safety issues and Safe Return. Topics include how to protect your house, wandering prevention and enrollment forms for Safe Return.
