Research Donations and the Dues Offset Program
Our National Association is the largest private
funding source for Alzheimer's disease in the country. To
date, they
have invested over $185 million into more than 1,400 projects
Our grants program has launched the careers of some of the most stellar scientists in the field, responsible for major discoveries in our understanding of the disease. Many of those researchers are working right here in Arizona
and southern Nevada.
As part of our affiliation agreement, we pay monthly dues to the national office. In turn, they support our local efforts on a national scale. You can help us reduce the amount of dues we are required to pay by designating your research-specific gift to the Dues Offset Program. 100% of your gift will be applied to research, plus a percentage of the total will be subtracted from our monthly dues. Everybody wins!
Here's an example: a $1000 gift for research sent to our chapter office will be forwarded to Chicago. When the donor requests that the gift qualify for the Dues Offset Program, an additional $400 will be discounted from the dues we are required to pay. Your gift has a value of $1400.
(For tax purposes however, only $1000 is deductible.)
Please consider making a contribution in the name of your loved
ones. |
